Personal Information

My wife and I have lived in Lewisville since 2002.
I learned at an early age about serving your community participating and serving in scouting from a child to my early adulthood. In 1984 I earned Scout's highest honor when I earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Early on I got to learn about government. While in high school, I was selected to take part of an American Legion program called Boy's State.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1991 and my Master of Architecture in 1993 from the University of Illinois.
I have worked and lived in Texas since 1994 and have vast experience in the Construction arena working for local general contractors. I have also worked the last 20 years with a local Design & Engineering firm and I am a Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
I have had the privilege of serving on the Planning & Zoning committee for five years and many other boards here in Lewisville.
It would be my honor to continue to serve as your Councilman and I hope I have your vote.

Affordable Housing
All citizens should have access to affordable housing.
The City Council has taken great strides in the last 3 years to provide Affordable Housing. We have created a PFC and have several affordable housing projects in the works.
The Arts
I want to continue with the great legacy of the City of Lewisville and it's dedication to the Arts. I will work with the City, MCL Grand, and others to continue to keep the Arts alive in Lewsiville.
Senior Services & Housing Choices
I am very passionate about improving services and housing choices for Seniors. It is important that we take care of Seniors who provide an important asset to the City. The City Council continually listens to the Lewisville Seniors Group at City Council and helped them get temporary funding to help out with the cost of living.
Short Term Rentals
Short Term Rentals in Lewisville has become one of the most devisive issues we have seen in a long time. I will work with Mayor, Council, and Staff to continue to get the right regulations in place for all parties for and against short term rentals .
Future Budget Challenges
Due to the pandemic, budget challenges will have to be dealt with for many years to come. I will use my experience and background to help solve these challenges. I go through every page of the budget when presented by staff and provide comments.
